Ladies See Shocking Reasons Why You Should Not Shave Nor Wax Your V!g!na Hair
A new study has shown women believe it’s healthier but these are reasons not to shave or wax
MORE women than ever are shaving their pubic hair and most believe it’s more hygienic.
New research has found that, as well as removing the hair for sexual or aesthetic reasons, many believe it is healthier.
SHOCKENLY: Shaving or waxing is not as healthy as most women think.
They couldn’t be more wrong, say doctors.
In fact, pubic hair prevents a lot of nasty bugs and foreign objects from entering the vagina, and therefore keeps your ladybits cleaner.
It also reduces the risk of thrush and other infections.
Dr Vanessa Mackay, from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, told The Independent: “Pubic hair offers a natural barrier to keep things clean, to decrease contact with viruses and bacteria, and to protect the tender skin of the area.
“While protecting against diseases and skin problems, pubic hair prevents foreign particles like dust and pathogenic bacteria from entering the body.
“Pubic hair also helps to control the moisture of the area which decreases the chances of yeast infections.”
The hair also acts as a cushion for the labia and vagina, preventing damage to the sensitive skin.
According to a study published in the US journal JAMA Dermatology, the majority of women of all ages now “groom” their pubic area.
Sixty-two per cent of those asked removed all the hair while 84 per cent reported trimming or shaping of some sort.
Women between 18 and 34 were most likely to shave or wax.
ADVICE: Put away the razor if you want to keep your pubic area health
