Nigerian Army arrests killer of General Shuwa

Operatives of the Nigerian military intelligence have arrested a man believed to be the killer of Major General Mohammed Shuwa (Rtd).

General Shuwa was murdered on November 2, 2012, in his residence in Maiduguri, Borno State by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.

The late officer was the first General Officer Commanding of the Nigerian Army's 1st Division, who also commanded the Nigerian Army's 1st Division during the Nigerian Civil War.

Army spokesperson, Colonel Sani Usman further confirmed that the suspect will be paraded in Kano where he was arrested.
